Connecting HubSpot
Connect your HubSpot portal to enable syncing with QuickBooks.
Before You Start
- You need admin access to your HubSpot portal
- Have your HubSpot login credentials ready
- Make sure you're logged into SimpleCommerceSync
Connection Steps
Navigate to Connections
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Click Connections
Start the Connection
- Find the HubSpot section
- Click the Connect HubSpot button
Sign In to HubSpot
- You'll be redirected to HubSpot's login page
- Sign in with your HubSpot credentials
- If you're already logged in, this step is skipped
Select Your Portal
- If you have access to multiple HubSpot portals, select the one you want to connect
- Choose the portal that contains your invoices and products
Authorize Access
- Review the permissions SimpleCommerceSync is requesting
- Click Grant access to authorize
Confirmation
- You'll be redirected back to SimpleCommerceSync
- The HubSpot section now shows Connected status
- Your portal ID is displayed for reference
What Permissions Are Granted
When you connect HubSpot, you authorize SimpleCommerceSync to:
- Read and write contacts - To match customers between systems
- Read and write invoices - To sync invoice data
- Read and write products - To match line items by SKU
- Read and write quotes - To sync quotes as estimates
- Read payments - To sync payment information
- Read tax rates - To apply correct tax codes

Verifying Your Connection
After connecting:
- The status shows "Connected" with a green indicator
- Your HubSpot portal ID is displayed
- You can proceed to connect QuickBooks
Disconnecting
If you need to disconnect HubSpot:
- Go to Settings then Connections
- Click Disconnect next to HubSpot
- Confirm the disconnection
Note: Disconnecting stops all syncs but preserves your sync history.
