Managing Your Account

How to manage your SimpleCommerceSync account settings and preferences.

Account Overview

Your account includes:

  • Login credentials (email and password)
  • Your workspace (tenant)
  • Connection to HubSpot and QuickBooks
  • Sync configuration and history

Accessing Account Settings

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Click Account
  3. View and edit your account information

Account Information

Email Address

Your email is used for:

  • Logging in
  • Receiving notifications
  • Account recovery

To change your email:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. Update your email address
  3. Verify the new email
  4. Use new email to log in

Password

To change your password:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (twice)
  5. Click Save

Password requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers recommended

Profile Information

You may update:

  • Display name
  • Company name
  • Time zone preferences

Session Management

Active Sessions

View where you're logged in:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. View active sessions
  3. See device and location info

Logging Out

Current device:

  • Click your profile menu
  • Select Log Out

All devices:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. Click Log Out Everywhere
  3. All sessions are terminated
  4. You'll need to log in again

Account Security

Strong Password

Use a unique, strong password:

  • Don't reuse passwords from other sites
  • Use a password manager
  • Change periodically

Browser Security

  • Log out on shared computers
  • Don't save password on public devices
  • Keep browser updated

Notifications

Email Notifications

Configure what emails you receive:

  • Sync failure alerts
  • Usage limit warnings
  • Billing notifications
  • Product updates

To manage:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. Find notification preferences
  3. Toggle notifications on/off

Workspace (Tenant)

Your Workspace

Each account has one workspace that contains:

  • HubSpot connection
  • QuickBooks connection
  • All sync configuration
  • Sync history and logs

Workspace Name

You can update your workspace name:

  1. Go to Settings then Account
  2. Edit workspace/company name
  3. Save changes

Data and Privacy

Your Data

SimpleCommerceSync stores:

  • Account credentials (password encrypted)
  • OAuth tokens (for connections)
  • Sync logs and history
  • Configuration settings

Data Access

We access your HubSpot and QuickBooks data only to perform syncs. See OAuth Scopes Explained for details.

Data Retention

  • Sync logs are retained indefinitely
  • You can export your data
  • Contact support for data deletion requests

Deleting Your Account

Before Deleting

Consider:

  • Disconnect HubSpot and QuickBooks first
  • Export any data you need
  • Cancel any paid subscription

How to Delete

  1. Contact support
  2. Request account deletion
  3. Verify your identity
  4. Account and all data will be removed

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Troubleshooting

Can't Log In

  1. Verify email address is correct
  2. Try password reset
  3. Check for typos
  4. Clear browser cache
  5. Try a different browser

Forgot Password

  1. Go to login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check email for reset link
  5. Create new password

Account Locked

If you see account locked message:

  • Too many failed login attempts
  • Wait 15 minutes and try again
  • Or use password reset
